Barral (Galicia, 1901-1992) was a missionary in the Orinoco River delta, Venezuela between 1931 and 1988. Some of us were lucky enough to learn of his enormous contribution to the Waraos and their culture, including the Dictionary, the primer Learn to read (both in Wuarao and Spanish), The Wuarao Indians and their songbook and Literature of the Wuarao Indians.
